Simutronics, known for DragonRealms and CyberStrike, will be hosting its first extended free open beta test for their upcoming mech hero shooter GALAHAD 3093. The free extended beta, or Beta 8, will take place on Steam and comes after seven previous beta tests that lasted less than 48 hours.
Interested players, starting on Friday, March 19, will be able to jump into the fast-paced multiplayer combat. In the far future Knights, who are mech operators inspired by Arthurian legend, fight for glory in 32-player arenas. Knights pilot mechs called Lances that are capable of massive destruction in an all out battle to capture and hold territory.
Every Lance is highly customizable with various classes that range from Light to Super Heavy. They can be outfitted with a range of weapons, deployable systems, and tech modules. Knights are the heroes who have both active and passive abilities that range from drop shields to aerial bombardments. With all the possibilities there are thousands of different builds and loadouts.
The free open beta of GALAHAD 3093 will be starting on Friday, March 19 at 8:00 PM EST. Players can access the beta by visiting the game’s Steam page and click Request Access. During the Beta 8 test players will participate in the epic mech battles on the game’s first map, The Canyon, which is of a base assault design. Two teams of players face off in FPS action and win by controlling three strategic bases on the map. To quickly capture these bases, players should destroy the generators supporting each base. In addition spawn points can be contested and will play a pivotal role in deciding the victor. The beta runs until March 28.
GALAHAD 3093 will launch into Steam early access later this year. More open betas are planned for the future with no other public dates set at this time. For more information about the game follow @galahad3093 on Twitter or visit galahad3093.com.
