Bloober Team, known for their psychological horror titles, has debuted a brand new character teaser trailer for their dual reality game The Medium titled The Threats. The game follows the investigation of medium Marianne where she lives in both the real world and the spirit world.
In the new trailer, The Threats, viewers discover that The Maw is not the only hostile spirit players will encounter in The Medium. Far beyond the corridors of the Niwa Hotel players will meet a character with a yet to be revealed name. Viewers may recognized the face of Marcin Dorociński, a Polish actor who recently was seen in Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit.
Little is known beyond what has been portrayed in the video about this character. However, players should be aware that this mysterious figure is capable of absolute ruthlessness and brutality with his own agenda driven by revenge. As player’s uncover and discover more about this mystery man, they will see how it connects with Marianne’s investigation
The Medium is set for a January 28, 2021 release on Steam for PC and the Xbox Series X/S. When released, the game will be priced at $49.99 USD. Players who order the game on Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store before January 28, 2021 will receive a 10% discount. In addition those who pre-order the game on Steam or Epic Games Store will also get The Medium original soundtrack, featuring a ‘dual’ score soundtrack by legendary composer Akira Yamaoka, of Silent Hill, and Bloober Team’s own Arkadiusz Reikowski, along with the digital artbook.
