Bossa Studios is back with more physics-based pandemonium, much merriment, and a release date for Surgeon Simulator 2, the sequel to the original operation sim. Coming to the Epic Games Store in late August, players who pre-order can participate in a Closed Beta this weekend.
In the spirit of the 2013 release of Surgeon Simulator, this sequel continues the comically dark humor and absolute chaos of the operating room. Players can expect to see more over-the-top moments and complete disregard for any sense of medical accuracy. After all people have rubber ducks inside of them right?
The game features a 4-player co-op along with an all-new Bossa Labs Creation Mode that provides players with a set of tools to create new levels and experiences to upload and share with the community. This new mode is playable alongside the game’s story mode. In the intuitive and easy-to-use toolkit players have the freedom to design level logic and gameplay rules in addition to the creation of the gameplay space. Players are encouraged to set their imagine free with this mode as there are many things they can possibly create from escape rooms to bowling alleys.
Players who pre-order Surgeon Simulator 2 can participate in the Closed Beta weekend that begins on August 7 and ends on August 9. By pre-ordering, players will also unlock time-exclusive cosmetics including the Mad Scientist set. The Surgeon Simulator 2 Standard Edition is available for $24.99 USD. A Deluxe Edition which includes the Standard Edition items plus a Season Pass, Official Soundtracks, Surgeon Simulator Wristwatch cosmetic item, and the Super Hero cosmetic set for $39.99 USD.
