Madmind Studio dropped a new trailer called The Room for their current deep psychological survival-horror title project Paranoid.
In Paranoid, a deep psychological story is combined with dynamic and brutal gameplay. This is when parents tell their children to leave the room or at the bare minimum to cover their eyes and ears.
The game follows the story of 31 year old Patrick Calman in the late 1980s. He has lost his entire family under mysterious circumstances. His parents died violently and sister went suddenly missing. All the trauma associated with the loss destroyed his psyche and his apartment became his own prison.
Then one day 13 years after the disappearance of his sister, Patrick gets a phone call from someone who seems to be his sister announcing their comeback. In order to learn the truth, Patrick must venture beyond his secluded life and expose himself to the horrors that brought him to the brink of madness.
In new trailer the various audio and visual elements really help the viewer get a sense of what it is like for the protagonist as they appear to give into paranoia and madness.
Paranoid currently has a TBA release date listed on the game’s Steam page and appears to be for PC only. For all the latest on Paranoid visit the game’s website at paranoidgame.com and follow Paranoid on Twitter @paranoid_game.
