A new narratively-driven scenario for Weedcraft Inc, the game from Vile Monarch and Devolver Digital, is now available in the free Heat Wave DLC.
Weedcraft Inc is a business tycoon simulation game that follows and examines the complexities that is the patchwork of America’s legalization battle alongside related social issues. The Heat Wave DLC continues the exploration with the story of Celia Hernandez.
After being denied a work permit, Celia starts growing weed to provide for her family while struggling to make her late father’s business practices viable in the ever changing landscape. With marijuana’s recent legalization, Celia, searches for ways to stay profitable while appeasing changing tastes of clients, outwitting large corporate competitors, and enduring pressure from her family to stick to traditional business practices.
The scenario’s in Weedcraft Inc test both the business sense and green thumb capabilities of players with distinctive storylines. Each challenging the player to outgrow competitors in a variety of markets that realistically mirror the real world. From a simple apartment setup to a sprawling industrial operation knowing which strains to grown, how to balance budgets, and when to play fair with rivals is all a part of the journey and experience.
In addition the new update introduces a few quality of life improvements that have been requested by the community. Included is additional music, reworked interfaces, option to skip conversations, and general gameplay refinements and streamlining.
