YAGER, the developer behind Spec Ops: The Line and Dreadnaught, revealed their newest game and Epic Games Store exclusive, The Cycle.
The competitive quest shooter, The Cycle, is a match-based first person shooter that takes place on the alien world of Fortuna III. An emphasis on PvPvE action is shown in the game through completing jobs, gearing up with new weapons and powers, outscoring other players, and escaping the planet alive.
On the exotic alien world of Fortuna III players compete against or team up with other Prospectors. All are in a race to harvest resources, defeat hostile lifeforms, and make a fortune before the world, rivals, or even allies turn and kill the player.
It is up to players to decide how to stake their claim. Some may choose to go as a lone wolf, others may form squads with friends, or choose to make temporary alliances with complete strangers. Completing objectives individually gives a player more points on the leaderboard, but taking out other players is a definite way to make sure they don’t climb higher.
Interested players can sign up for a chance to participate in The Cycle’s upcoming three-day alpha test on the game’s website at thecycle.game/sign-up. The alpha test is scheduled for March 28-30 and playable in English, German, and Russian.
We’re beyond excited to join forces once again with our long-time friends at Epic Games to officially introduce The Cycle to the Epic Games Store’s huge community of players hungry for truly unique gaming experiences. The Cycle is a new leap forward for YAGER as a self-publishing developer, which we owe to this joint partnership. This is a rare chance to challenge yourself with a fresh new take on competitive and cooperative multiplayer shooters, and you can get a taste of it later this month.

The Cycle is expected to enter closed beta in spring of 2019. At launch the game will be a Windows PC exclusive on the Epic Games Store. For more information visit the game’s website at thecycle.game.
