The Korean Overwatch YouTube channel dropped a preview for three additional Lunar New Year skins: Tracer, Orisa, and Brigitte.
In the video Hong Gildong Tracer. This skin is most likely inspired from the Korean novel The Story of Hong Gildong. In the novel Hong Gildong is the main character and described as the illegitimate son of a nobleman and his lowborn concubine. The character steals from the rich to help the impoverished.
Sanye Orisa is the next character previewed. Orisa is dressed up in a mostly white costume that has a very creepy smiling red face.
The last previewed character is General Brigitte. She has a very prominent pose with a mainly red armor with ornate shoulder pads and helm. General Brigitte has a striking resemblance to the statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin.
Year of the Pig event previously previewed skins include: Zhuge Liang Zenyatta, Zhang Fei Torbjörn, Guan Yu Reinhardt, Lü Bu Reaper, and Huang Zhong Hanzo. All five are based off historical figures from the 14th century Chinese novel The Romance of The Three Kingdoms.
Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch Lunar New Year seasonal event celebrating Year of the Pig is set to begin on Thursday, January 24, 2019. The event runs until Monday, February 18. It is recommended that players who have yet earned their loot boxes from Arcade mode hold off until after the event begins to maximize their chances at getting these new skins.
