Tripwire Interactive along with strategic partner Epic Games released more details on their action RPG Maneater.
Players take on the role of a shark in this open world single player action RPG. Set in the waters of the southern US Gulf Coast, Maneater, positions players where they must fight to survive in the open ocean as well as rivers and streams.
Everything is on the menu. Chow down, or rather chomp down with the sharks jaws to feed and evolve. This is a story of revenge so it is kill or be killed. Players can take their shark all over the vast world and eat everything along the way. It is time for humans to fear to what lurks below the surface as divers, swimmers, fishers, boaters, vacationers, and so much more are all just another tasty meal.
As the shark consumes food and evolves, players can customize their maneater to fit their play style. The game follows a simple mantra: Eat, Grow, Evolve, Repeat.
Maneater was first revealed at E3 2018. The game is now being developed by Tripwire Interactive in collaboration with creative leads at Blindside Interactive. Expectations are high for the game and the potential to lead the action RPG genre into new unexplored areas. Extra resources are being devoted to assist with the games development.
We’re also thrilled to announce that Tripwire is once again working with Alex Quick to put the full force of Tripwire’s development team behind bringing one of his game concepts to players, this time in collaboration with his new studio Blindside Interactive. In 2008 Tripwire worked with Alex to bring the highly successful game Killing Floor to players, and are set to do that once again with Maneater.

Maneater will surface on PC in 2019 with a debut on the Epic Games store. Other PC platforms will see a release 12 months later.
