Barracuda Disaster released their first-person comedic adventure, Solar Panic: Utter Distress, on Steam for PC players everywhere.
In Solar Panic, players find themselves waking up as Durwood Champney. He is what one would describe as a sarcastic jerk with a vendetta against early morning traffic who is destined to follow the true story that Barracuda Disaster made up.
Players are given the opportunity to explore exotic places filled with funny and more often than not, stupid encounters while experiencing the story of a hungover ex-secret agent. In a way it’s James Bond minus everything that makes James Bond.
There are lots of interesting gadgets that are considered both top of the line and second-hand for players to use. From the innovative Tomato Gun to the very sophisticated Sniffer, players have an often comedic array of sources for their entertainment.
Inspiration for the game is drawn from real life, fake life, and artificial life. Solar Panic brings the strangest, wackiest, weirdest, and even the most socially awkward of characters to life. Start trouble with the pantless ice cream vendor or make friends with a beggar who wants to get away from the player. Ultimately the choice is up to the player so why not both or just ignore everyone.
The idea of Solar Panic is to make you laugh (or question your game choices) no matter if you play just for a couple of minutes or longer. This is achieved by filling the world with hilarious and weird encounters and characters, and telling a story filled with what we call surprise jokes.

Some highlights include just a walking man, a talking raunchy toilet brush that tastes amazing, a security guard apple that the player eats, and those poor dancing gingerbread people.
Key features of Solar Panic: Utter Distress include several jokes that are design to make players laugh. The handcrafted 3D world is filled with highly-stylized characters and real human sounds and voices in their natural habitats.
