Killing Floor 2 Deep Blue Z Update

Developer and publisher Tripwire Interactive are diving deep into the ocean with the launch of the Killing Floor 2 Deep Blue Z update for the co-op fps title. A whole wave of new horror and gore-filled content has arrived in the Deep Blue Z update.

Subduction, is the new featured community map. Located deep within the Mariana Trench lies a Horzine ocean lab. Thought to have been kept away from the Zed outbreak, a communication loss brings players to the facility. Players who enter aid in salvaging what can be recovered from the Horzine excavation efforts.

Contamination Zone is a new weekly game mode. Every wave of new Zeds brings a safe area indicated on the map. Fight back the Zed horde without leaving the safe area to survive. New Contamination Zone themed skins for the welder and syringe are available.

Two new weapons are introduced in the update. The semi-auto shotgun, S12 Shockgun, is excellent for close combat and includes an under barrel EMP blast launcher. This weapon can be purchased individually or acquired via the Armory Season Pass 2 or the Ultimate Edition Bundle and Upgrade.

Useful for support from above, the new HRG Bombardier is a deployable turret drone. Armed with a grenade launcher, the drone can be detonated with an explosive cluster bomb.

New update, new cosmetic season pass. Hundreds of skins, accessories, and outfits are in the new Cosmetic Season Pass. Players can upgrade their summer wardrobe with the latest summer cosmetics including the Stingray Weapon Skin Bundle Pack, Jaeger MKIV Weapon Skin Bundle Pack, Junkyard MKII Weapon Skin Bundle Pack, Predator Weapon Skin Bundle Pack, and Horzine Diver Outfit Bundle.

The Deep Blue Z update falls in line with Tripwire Interactive’s annual summer content update. Last year, players were sent to Rig, the massive oil platform community map in the Tidal Terror update. In summer 2021, players took to space in the Interstellar Insanity update. This update marked the end of the Lockhart map trilogy with the Moonbase map and added several astronaut-themed cosmetics.
