A new retrolike arcade brick breaker game that features up to four players from developer Ready Wolf titled Beautiful Bricks is out now on Steam and Itch.io.
Beautiful Bricks features up to four simultaneous players in co-op mode or a single player mode. The game adds innovative features to the brick breaker genre and takes cues from arcade classics Arkanoid and Break Out.
The game uses physics-based ball behavior for action-packed brick breaking in a retro 8-bit aesthetic. More paddle control than before is allowed along with the ability to paddle jump.
There are 230 levels and 15 challenging boss battles. Over 40 innovative power-ups change gameplay along with extra game modes, secret areas, and random encounters that may make the game seem like a roguelike title.
Local high-scores and achievements lets players track their progress. The game uses tracker .MOD music in a chiptune style with the Beautiful Bricks Soundtrack available at bandcamp.com that includes high-quality download in MP3 and FLAC formats.
Beautiful Bricks is available now on Steam and Itch.io for PC at a price of $7.99 USD. The latest information about the game can be found on the developer’s website at readywolf.com.
