Apolune Minimalist Shooter Price Drop

The minimalist top-down shooter Apolune from Lost Astronaut Studios has seen a price drop by roughly a quarter of its retail price.

Apolune is a roguelike shooter that features an endless procedural evolutionary space war. In classic 2D top-down arcade shooter fashion, Apolune provides enemy wave after enemy wave in an endless bullet-hell simulation.

Players can opt use use either their keyboard or a controller as they shoot their way to victory in space. Various bizarre and strange places await for battle such as distant stars, dark rogue planets, alien worlds, and deep interstellar objects all while defending Earth from hordes of vile aliens.

Two-player co-op features a unique setup where players both share the hot seat. One player is the navigator and controls the left side of the keyboard with ship movement. Player two is the gunner, right side of keyboard, and fires away with both players controling the same ship.

A variety of resolutions are available for Apolune that include TripleHead2Go and DualHead2Go support as well as 4K. There is even support for old 32-bit lo-fi systems.

If a player desires they can cheat. In fact one might say it is even encouraged. Cheat codes were revealed in the Space Game Junkie Podcast #277.

Apolune officially launched back in February 2019 at a retail price of $6.99 USD on Steam, but with the new price drop Apolune is now only $4.20 USD. More information about Apolune can be found on the game’s website at lostastronaut.com/apolune.
