Indie game studio Godspear Games have released a demo on Steam for their upcoming absurd illustrated adventure game, Disastory. Previously known as Textbound Tales, the Disastory demo is packed with an array of content including scenarios, items, and achievements.
Combine absurd humor and a wacky cast of characters in a 2.5D world where choices matter. Explore a fantastical industrial city full of dad jokes, one-dimensional characters, and ridiculous stories in this text-based adventure. All of the game is illustrated with a unique hand-drawn world and distinct visuals.
Pick 3 unique characters with a selection of optional traits that will not only change their appearance, but also the way one experiences the game. Combat is choice-driven. From mouthy priests to strange creatures, these uniquely designed encounters will keep players on the edge of their seat.
Collect over 50 unique items scattered throughout the world. Find the different uses for these unique items. In the demo there are 100 unique scenarios and 39 Steam achievements.
With everything that Disastory has to offer, the game comes off as a Chose Your Own Adventure title on steroids that clearly doesn’t take itself too serious.
