Momodora: Moonlit Farewell Major Update, Spring Steam Sale

Indie publisher PLAYISM and developer Bombservice are releasing a major content update for Momodora: Moonlit Farewell. This free content update for the 2D pixel art Metroidvania action title adds a new boss, boss rush mode, and fishing changes.

In addition, the climatic culmination of the Metroidvania Momodora series will be on sale during the Steam Spring Sale. During the Steam Spring Sale several other titles from PLAYISM will be available at varying discounts.

Major Content Update

The new content update is set to release on March 15 and will feature a wealth of new content including a brand new boss battle. Those who finished the main story can experience the new boss by talking to Dora at Koho Village. This new boss will be challenging.

A new boss rush mode is available for those spend some time at the Last Layer. Players are able to meet Patata, a new magi character. Patata will allow players to access a “Wanderlust” boss rush that involves every boss encounter in a single sequence.

Dora’s story and thoughts are being expanded upon with an entirely new dialogue scene. Accessible at any moment in Meikan Village, this scene will be available to players even if they have seen the credits.

Fishing has been expanded. A new fishing menu is available that shows the amount of times each fish has been caught. New fishes have been added to the game and rarer fishes are now regionalized, meaning that these rarer fish are only available at specific fishing holes.

Momodora: Moonlit Farewell Availability

Momodora: Moonlit Farewell is available on Windows PC via Steam for $16.99. The official soundtrack is available for $6.99 and is also available in a bundle with the game. Both Momodora: Moonlit Farewell and Momodora: Reverie Under The Moonlight are available at a discount in the Momodora Collection Bundle on Steam.

A 15% off discount is available during the Steam Spring 2024 sale that runs from March 14 to March 22, 2024. Other discounts are also available during the sale for the soundtrack, game and soundtrack bundle, and the Momodora Collection Bundle.
