Grindstone and Slovakian developer Bitmap Galaxy have announced Preserve, a new cozy nature-building game, will be coming to PC in summer 2024. The game uses a hexagonal puzzle-like grid to create a relaxing gameplay experience with vibrant ecosystems.
Create a harmonious ecosystem by cleverly placing plants and animals to create a natural symbiosis. The objective is to establish and sustain a thriving and diverse biome. With different available natural environments, players can shape diverse biome habitats that include alpine forests, arid deserts, and stunning Caribbean reefs. Each biome has its own animals, plants, and challenges.
The hexagonal grid system can be expanded both horizontally and vertically. The ability to stack layers of nature allows players to create a vertical network of interconnected habitats.
Gameplay features many game modes. Besides the regular harmony and puzzle game modes there are creative and photo modes. Creative game mode enables players to build the land up and environment without limitations. Photo mode allows players to capture and share their creations at the end of each gameplay session.
Through the use of strategic thinking and careful observation of the natural balance, players can place a wide assortment of plants and animals. By taking an effort to make sure each component will coexist in symbiotic harmony, players can curate a ideal environment for their liking.
