Animal Shelter 2 Announcement Trailer Features an Expanded Shelter and More

Nearly two years after the launch of Animal Shelter, Games Incubator and PlayWay have announced its sequel, Animal Shelter 2. An Announcement Trailer for Animal Shelter 2 is also available for viewing showing off the expanded shelter and animal care features.

Several new additions are in store for the animal care and shelter management sequel. Players had frequently mentioned that they would like to have the option to pick up stray animals off the streets in addition to a day and night cycle. Both of these features could not be added to the original title because of code restrictions. In an upcoming playtest, players will be able to see the new day and night cycle feature.

A 2D in-game map is coming. The map has already been added with limited functionality. As development continues, so will development on the 2D map continue with a yet to be revealed feature.

Several changes are coming to the animals themselves. Along with new improved models and animations, players will notice fluffier fur, different physiques, and unique personalities. The petting system has undergone a massive upgrade that allows players to give even the most demanding of animals proper attention.

Co-mange the shelter in co-op mode and care for the various cats and dogs. Friends can now work together and share in the joy of caring for the shelter’s animal residents.

Animal Shelter 2 Availability

Animal Shelter 2 is planned for a 2024 release on Windows PC via Steam. Players can add the game to their Steam wishlist. An Animal Shelter 2 Playtest is planned for a future date and players can request access by signing up on the game’s Steam page.

The original game, Animal Shelter is available on Windows PC through Steam for $19.99, on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S via Microsoft for $14.99, on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 via the PlayStation Store for $15.49 and on Nintendo Switch from the Nintendo eShop for $14.99. A free to play Animal Shelter: Prologue and a game demo are also available on Steam.
