Wired Productions and developer Angry Demon Studio have released an Origin Story Trailer for their upcoming ultra-violent hack-and-skate platforming title, Gori: Cuddly Carnage.
The Gori Origin Story Trailer, viewable below, is told through the eyes and mouth of F.R.A.N.K., a wise-cracking sentient synthetic hoverboard. Viewers are introduced to the back story and a litany of reluctant heroes who are tasked with saving the galaxy.
Humans have effectively been wiped out after Cool-Toys Inc. created Ultra Pets. These Ultra Pets were meant to be the ultimate companion that never required food, bathroom breaks, or fall to the endless march of time. A mutation, however, turned these perfect pets in twisted toys of death and destruction.
Gori and his hoverboard were originally created by Professor Y. As the only human who showed Gori and his friends love, their goal is to rescue Professor Y from the Adorable Army and stop them from conquering the galaxy.
About Gori: Cuddly Carnage Gameplay
Gameplay is centered around a cat named Gori who rides his best friend, the foul-mouthed hoverboard named F.R.A.N.K. and performs gnarly acrobatics. Set in a futuristic neon world of intense high-speed destruction, Gori and his skateboard take on armies of mutated toys litter the twisted world of arcade machines.
Combat is visceral and blood-soaked as Gori battles against a rampant A.I. hell-bent on ending his life. With high-energy thrills, players will use Gori’s devastating combos, glory kills, and powerful charged abilities, to rip these zombie-like toys to shreds. Maybe, in the end, Gori can save some of his 9 lives for a comfy retirement.
Developed in Unreal Engine 5, Gori: Cuddly Carnage is also a winner of the Epic MegaGrant. The game features a pulse-pounding soundtrack that serves as a backdrop to the adult humor and deadly landscapes that players will traverse during their journey.
Gori: Cuddly Carnage Availability
Gori: Cuddly Carnage will launch in early 2024. The game is coming to PC via Steam and GOG, Utomik, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Where available, players can now add the title to their wishlist.
The Gori: Cuddly Carnage Soundtrack, featuring 17 tracks that will be added and updated during the production process, is currently available on Steam for $6.99.
