Secret Mode and indie game developer Moon Lagoon have announced a November release date for their cozy pollution-cleaning adventure game, Loddlenaut.
As an interstellar custodian, players are sent to GUP-14, a polluted ocean world and home of the loddle. The underwater world is covered in trash leftover from a mega-corporation. Players will need to clear the pollution from the underwater habitat while caring for the loddles.
Explore sunken corporate ruins and revive the lush underwater ecosystems. To clean away all the pollution, players have access to new gunk-fighting technology that is created via the collected trash.
Introducing players to the loddle, a Loddlenaut life-cycle trailer was revealed at The Re-MIX Online Showcase this past July. Basics of the planetary cleaning mission and the details of loddle care were showcased in the trailer. For example, feeding a loddle fruit will trigger its evolution. The morphed loddle form is determined by the item consumed. Restored habitats enables loddles to lay eggs, allowing for more loddles to grow and thrive.
Loddlenaut Availability
Loddlenaut has a release date set for November 16, 2023, on PC for Windows and Mac via Steam.
A Loddlenaut demo is currently available on Steam. The demo features the Floatsam Flats area of the game along with several loddles who are ready to be a player’s friend.
