Ravenage Games and solo indie studio Undreamed Games have released the retrowave skill-based roguelike action game, Mega City Police, on PC. Launching today, the game immerses players in the exciting world of crime-fighting.
Infested with criminals, psychopaths, and the corrupt MegaCorp, Mega City is in dire need of law and order. As an incorruptible agent, players work to restore order to the chaos and take down brutal bosses in this thrilling fight against crime.
Gameplay features a total of 8 playable agents with a 16 unique abilities and unlockable skins for each agent. An arsenal of over 100 weapons and upgrades allow crime-fighters to open up a can of you know what on the criminal elements of Mega City. Three difficulty settings and procedural levels offer high replayability as one takes criminals to task as a member of the Mega City Police Department.
Inspiration for the game is taken from simpler times, such as the 1980s and early 1990s. Back when games were connected to a tube television and full of pixels or some of the best action movies ever made about tough cops fighting crime.
An electrifying retro synthwave soundtrack accompanies the gameplay and features renowned artists Droid Bishop, Timecop1983, sublunar, Nightcrawler, Occams Laser, Midsummer Ex, and Pixelrebel. With more than 40 tracks, the soundtrack combined along with the game’s retro aesthetics create an immersive and nostalgic experience.
