Toplitz Productions and Polish developer Superkami have announced an August Early Access release date for their upcoming open-world game Sengoku Dynasty. The game blends RPG, city building, life simulator, and survival elements against the backdrop of a fictional Japan.
Start off as a simple peasant in the days of feudal Japan. Build a thriving community and establish a presence. Create a dynasty and become a legend in a region that once was devastated by famine and war.
An open world full of resources awaits exploration and exploitation. Gather resources, craft items, hunt game, build structures, and farm the land to survive and build-up the community. Support a village community in solo or in up to 4 player co-op. A range of unique characters inhabit the world, ready for player interaction. Some characters will be friendly while others may seek to cause harm.
From bamboo forests to snowy mountain peaks, gameplay features the many diverse biomes of Japan with changing seasons. The open-world in Sengoku Dynasty features serene cherry groves, open plains, and mist-covered hot springs. Players will want to take in the natural beauty of Japan as the developer utilizes the visual power of Unreal Engine 5.
Cultural accuracy was at the heart of the game’s design. Superkami created a unique vision of life set in feudal Japan by utilizing a range of information. Both historical and cinematic visual resources were used alongside photographs from museum exhibits to create a realistic and faithful representation of the game’s historical context.
