Ultimate Games S.A. and Polish developer Games Incubator have released Animal Shelter Simulator on Nintendo Switch. Players can also experience the challenges of running an animal shelter for cats and dogs with a Switch launch week discount.
Gameplay is focus on the operation and management of an animal shelter. Not only will players care for the both the dogs and cats living at the shelter, they will need to also handle daily operational issues such as the shelter’s finances. Other activities such as organizing photo sessions for the shelter’s residents are available.
The ultimate goal is to find all the shelter’s residents homes while keeping the four-legged friends happy and healthy. Over time and some planning, the shelter can be further developed and expanded upon. A construction mode allows players to plan out the space and expand the facilities with additional buildings and other shelter features that include decorations and furniture.
Animal Shelter Simulator Release Details
This past March, Animal Shelter Simulator launched on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 owners. Last November, the game launched on Xbox and in March 2022, the title debuted on PC. Currently the game has over 1,600 reviews on Steam with 85% of the reviews being positive.
In July of last year, the game’s first DLC, Puppies & Kitties appeared. Then in January of this year, the game’s second DLC, Horse Shelter, expanded the game with horses and their necessary care facilities.
Nintendo Switch owners can purchase Animal Shelter Simulator digitally on the Nintendo eShop for $14.99. A 20% discount is available until April 27, 2023.
Animal Shelter Simulator is available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S via Microsoft for $14.99 and on PS4 and PS5 from the PlayStation Store for $15.49. The game is available on Windows PC through Steam for $19.99. Animal Shelter: Prologue is available on Steam free to play for players to experience some of the game’s mechanics and gameplay.
