HeroCraft PC and indie developer Bad Optics Games have released their cat colony sim, Catizens, on Steam Early Access. The cat kingdom is open and aspiring fluffy adventurers are ready for the purr-fect experience.
Inspired by RimWorld and The Sims, Catizens puts players in charge of a cat colony simulation full of unique cats with quirky personalities. Through careful guidance, players can help these furry felines build their settlement, develop relationships, and save the kingdom from threats.
Every citizen or rather catizen has their own unique personality. Some will even form relationships with others. On occasion personal requests will be made. Keeping the cats happy will aid in building up the settlement.
A variety of professions are available for the settlements residents. Farming, blacksmithing, knighthood, and fishing are just a few. The unexplored wilderness offers both valuable resources and dangerous threats. Settlement expansion into different environments is possible. Discover hidden treasures or the best fishing spot. Some quirky characters may be found in the wilds that offer quests.
Cats can be customized. A range of facial and body features plus traits are available. Players can also design their homes. The settlement can be decorated with different accessories, roof colors, and various other details allowing players to add their own personal touches. And remember to pets the cats!
