Presented by Hitcents, the Big Adventure Event 2022 on Steam is underway with demos, live gameplay, developer Q&A, giveaways, and much more! The event kicked off at 8AM PST today with a packed broadcast schedule of games and livestreams with nearly 200 games participating in the event.
Last year the inaugural event featured over 80 games from more than 50 publishers and developers that included: Akupara Games, Fellow Traveller, WhiteThorn Games, Raw Fury, Second Maze Studios, and MidBoss. By the event’s end over 300,000 fans had participated.
We created the event for all indie devs, as a chance for devs big and small to participate and create some of their own opportunities for visibility. Releasing a game in 2022– indie or otherwise — is nothing short of difficult. Having a game be “successful” to whatever degree is even more difficult. This is our small way of providing some amount of opportunity and visibility to as many teams as we can.

Now in the event’s second year everything is bigger and with more. In addition to a line-up of more games from developers around the world there are developer interviews, livestream broadcasts, and community events. Leading up to the January 20, 2022 event start a weeklong Mystery Adventure ‘Pick Your Path’ game took place on Hitcents’ Discord. Event participants are encouraged to join the Hitcents’ Discord where they can view event information, enter giveaways, and engage with other members of the community.
This year’s event is scheduled to run from Thursday, January 20, until Monday, January 24, 2022. With everything planned for the Big Adventure Event 2022, this year will surely out do last year’s event.
