Berlin-based developer YAGER announced that the closed beta of their PvPvE FPS shooter The Cycle: Frontier will start on September 30, 2021. The closed beta runs until November 1, 2021. Players can register for access now and get a taste of the game’s action ahead of the 2022 release.
Free-to-play high-stakes action is at the heart of The Cycle: Frontier. Player’s have two goals, the first is always to survive. The second goal is to complete missions on the deserted alien world of Fortuna III. It is a forsaken world with rewards for the daring who will not only be fighting off hostile creatures, but well armed opponents too.
To complete a mission and keep any resources one will need to leave the planet. Regardless of solo, with a squad or making alliances with strangers, The Cycle: Frontier offers players a highly competitive multiplayer survival combat experience. There is a lot of strategic depth between the co-op and PvP gameplay. Players will need to decide how much risk are they willing to take on at any given moment. Actions have consequences so does one decide to start the drop with really expensive equipment and accept the risk of losing rare resources or does one go in with simple equipment and risk failure?
Prospect Station is the social hub in The Cycle: Frontier. Players will find stores and their own quarters at the station. Three important factions: Osiris, Korolev and ICA also reside on the station. Increasing reputation through missions will unlock new tools, upgrades, and weapons. All of these will naturally help one survival the dangerous beats and players on Fortuna III.
The Cycle: Frontier closed beta begins on September 30, 2021 and Windows PC registration is available through Steam, Epic Games Store, and the game’s website. The closed beta will conclude on November 1, 2021. For more information follow @TheCycleGame on Twitter or visit the game’s website at thecycle.game.
