Bloober Team announced that their previously launched psychological horror game The Medium is now available on the PS5. Players shifting to the spiritual world will have a supernatural sensation from the new DualSense integration that offers the most tactile and immersive version yet with the PlayStation 5 release.
Both a standard version and a Deluxe Edition of The Medium are available for PS5 owners. The previously released PC and Xbox versions alongside the PS5 version will also have a standard physical edition. In a partnership with Koch Media the physical copies are available in retail stores now. Select retailers will also have The Medium: Two Worlds Special Launch Edition that comes with an exclusive Steelbook cover, the original soundtrack, and a 32 page hardcover artbook.
In Japan, publisher NA Publishing will bring The Medium to PS5 and PC by the holiday 2021 season.
Presented as a third-person psychological horror game, The Medium takes players into a groundbreaking simultaneously rendered dual-reality gameplay experience. Playing as the gifted medium Marianne, players are able to explore both the real world and the spirit world both alternatively and simultaneously. By interacting in both worlds and seamlessly moving between the two, one is able to uncover the dark violent mystery, sinister spirits, devious puzzles, and disturbing details of what happened at the Niwa resort.
The Medium is available on PC in addition to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The standard version of the game is priced at $49.99 USD. Players purchase the game on PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG with The Medium Deluxe Edition being available for $54.99 USD that includes the original soundtrack, featuring a ‘dual’ score soundtrack by legendary composer Akira Yamaoka, of Silent Hill, and Bloober Team’s own Arkadiusz Reikowski, along with the digital artbook.
