Toplitz Productions and developer Family Devs announced that the open-ended country-life RPG Harvest Days will be featured at the Indie Arcade Village at Gamescom 2021. Inspired by Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, and Story of Seasons, Harvest Days lets players create the farm of their dreams, build relationships, and explore an open 3D world full of places.
This country life simulation game whisks away players from the urban grind and gives them the opportunity to enjoy the charming open plains. Located in Duda’s Village, players find themselves the owner of a farm plot in the same village where their grandparents reside. After a rural exodus the village is in need to help. Using some tools, a few coins, and some old fashioned hard work players might be able to restore the village to its former glory.
The land shall provide. With a little effort and dedication players can learn to live off the land, nurture animals, and fish from the rivers. Profits from one’s gathering activities and farming can be invested back into the village. From improving infrastructure to building new homes, players can kickstart a resurgence of growth.
At the game’s core is managing one’s farm from crops to animals that include chickens, pigs, rabbits, horses, cows, and some wild animals. The world is open for exploration with countless places with lots of opportunities for gathering resources that can be used in crafting or selling for profit.
Taking care of the environment is important to keep the land alive and thriving. Helping to clean up trash in the forests and using renewable energies like solar will help one do their part. Unlike other similar games, Harvest Days includes a survival component. Players will need to address their hunger, thirst, and other needs so they can keep their energy levels and handle their daily business.
A Kickstarter campaign for Harvest Days is coming at the end of August. Interested players should also check out Harvest Days during Gamescom 2021 for more announcements and details. Harvest Days alongside the Toplitz published Starsand will be featured at the Indie Arcade Village starting on August 25th until August 29th.
Harvest Days is planned for a second-half 2022 early access release on Steam. The Harvest Days Kickstarter is set to kickoff on August 31, 2021. Interested players can add the game to their Steam wishlist now. For more information follow @harvestdaysgame on Twitter or visit harvestdaysgame.net.
