Leonardo Interactive and developer MadLight Studio announced that their sci-fi puzzle platformer, Seed of Life, has a release date set for mid-August. The futuristic 3D third-person game will be available on PC through Steam.
As Cora, the last survivor of Lumia, players set out on an epic adventure about the persistence of life. Her dying world was ravaged by alien invaders that are stealing the planet’s lifeforce. The only hope for her homeworld is to activate The Seed. This alien device is capable of generating the essence of life and can save the planet from annihilation.
Players will look to the light as they navigate their way through the labyrinth-like planet. Along the journey one will find strange Talisman capsules and learn special abilities that allow players to defy the laws of nature. These abilities are also necessary in order to conquer the dangers of the dying world. To help out on the journey a cute alien assistant named Nar will provide aid when solving challenging puzzles and in taking down the increasingly menacing alien invaders.
The game features triple-A quality graphics that allow players to visually explore the sci-fi universe set in a dystopian future. Both bright colors and complete darkness playoff of each other to create a unique art style as players explore the emotional story-driven journey. Gameplay is focused around RPG elements, puzzles, dangerous creatures and mysteries that will keep players curious and excited to see what is next.
While Talisman capsule provide new abilities, players will need to collect Lumium to upgrade and strategically use their new items. These upgrades will help one defy gravity and overcome different challenges. Roaming the land are Namurian Shadows that are searching for any remaining Lumium. Players will need to use stealth tactics to escape from these foes. From navigating dangerous paths to finding interest points the world is beautiful, vast, and waiting for players to discover.
