Chaosmonger Studio and Assemble Entertainment are inviting players to immerse themselves into their cyberpunk point and click adventure ENCODYA. Now available on PC players can explore Neo-Berlin, a dystopian near-future city, and follow the story of a young orphan girl named Tina and her robot guardian SAM-53.
Featuring over 8 hours of gameplay, ENCODYA gives players access to two playable characters. All of the game’s story is set to the backdrop of Neo Berlin in the year 2062. As a 9 year old kid, Tina struggles with life’s daily challenges. To accompany Tina in this struggle is her big clumsy metal robot guardian, SAM-53. Living in a makeshift rooftop shelter both have an overlooking view of the darkly gritty corporate controlled megalopolis.
Life in the urban jungle is hard. Even harder as a kid where Tina has had to learn to live alone, scavenge dumpsters for scraps, and survive. SAM-53 has been programmed to protect her no matter what and is always by her side. Through her journey, Tina discovers that her father has left a very important mission for her, in fact a plan to save the world from its grayness. Both Tina and SAM-53 embark upon this epic adventure that features puzzles, robotic creatures, exciting dialog, and some uniquely strange characters.
The game includes 35 distinctively unique non-player characters in over a hundred locations with more than 4000 lines of dialogue. In addition ENCODYA contains an original soundtrack, custom sound design and professional voice actors.
Previously the game’s Chief Developer Nicola Piovesan took players on a journey into the little details that help bring the world of Neo-Berlin to life via a developer featurette. The video provided insight into all the effort that went into creating an authentic world with strong narrative and all the subtle details necessary to immerse players that features original art that with stunning 2.5D visuals.
ENCODYA is now available on Windows, MacOS, and Linux through Steam and GOG. A 20% discount is available for a limited time that ends on February 2, 2021. The Standard Edition is priced at $19.99 USD and the Save the World Edition is priced at $27.99 USD which includes the official soundtrack, artbook, wallpapers and a video showing the making of the game.
