Novaquark is making some big news about its sci-fi MMO Dual Universe with a new cinematic trailer and the launch of the official Dual Universe Twitch channel. The first livestream is scheduled for April 30.
In the trailer, This is Dual Universe, the continuous single-shard universe is highlighted. Players share the universe and can potentially build with millions of other players using the extensive voxel creation system. Also highlighted in the trailer is the game’s robust player-driven economy and organization system.
We think this trailer will be a good introduction for players to the core concepts of such an innovative game as Dual Universe.
Jean-Christophe Baillie, CEO Novaquark
Along with the release of the trailer comes the official launch of the Dual Universe Twitch channel. The first livestream will be a Q&A session featuring the CEO Novaquark, Jean-Christophe Baillie. Questions about the company, production schedule, community topics and more will be discussed during the 2pm EST April 30 event.
The Twitch channel will be a hub for the Dual Universe community that will feature exclusive reveals on upcoming features, interviews with the developers, AMAs, and more.
We started this company with the goal of being community-centered. Whether it’s through our AMAs, our roadmap updates, or transparent communication with our players, we’re trying to accomplish that to stay true to our original vision for how we wanted our relationship with our community to be like.
Jean-Christophe Baillie, CEO Novaquark
Currently, the dev team is at a crucial point in the production cycle where they are polishing the game before the Beta and NDA lift. Dual Universe entered alpha back in November 2018 and since then has released Alpha 2 and is currently in Alpha 3.
Other key features in the game features space exploration in a giant shared sandbox universe where one can work with others to build a vast empire or go off alone in the vastness that is space. World building, create and save designs through blueprints, explore and harvest resources, and craft interactive components needed for bases and ships are just a small number of things one can do in a game built on the concepts of explore, build, trade and conquer.
Dual Universe’s beta is expected to launch later in 2020 with the full game arriving in 2021. Players interested in the game or wish to join in the Alpha stage can find more information on the Dual Universe website at dualthegame.com, follow @dualuniverse on Twitter or join the official Dual Universe Discord.
