Sleepy Spider Studios has begun the Kickstarter campaign for their space shooter Project AETHER: First Contact where players take on a robotic alien force.
In this fast paced twin-stick shooter, players pilot the prototype mecha Aether as they fight against the alien invaders and the destruction of humanity. Aether features a customizable arsenal of ranged and melee weapons along with an EMP Burst system that can detonate weakened enemies in a destructive chain reaction. Other weapons include the assault rifle, railgun, laser beam, and more.
The game features 9 unique levels that each contain a powerful boss. Players get to choose their own approach to combat using their preferred methods of melee, ranged, or some combination of the two. There are survival and boss rush modes in addition to special challenges that will test a player’s skills.
We believe Project AETHER is a really fun game and we’re excited to get the chance to get it in the hands of players. We hope our blend of traditional shooter elements and exciting melee gameplay will give players a fun and memorable experience.
