Russian developer Talerock is ready for a late March release of their debut title JRPG Grimshade for PC users and a later 2019 release for Nintendo Switch. After a hugely successful Kickstarter campaign from June 2018 that raised over $100,000, Grimshade is ready to let explore the fantasy world of Ree’Fah.
Inspired by the JRPG games of the 90s, Grimshade is a party-based tactical adventure featuring a turn-based combat system. All of this is set along a uniquely grim and immersing story of war and personal choices.
An elite band of adventurers is assembled by the player interact with each other to form a web of synergy. As the highly stylized and detailed world is explored monsters, battles, conflict, and quests will present themselves to the player. There are seven main party characters, an endless series of settings, and a various array of weapons, crafts, and equipment.
Grimshade tells the story of the company of heroes, by a twist of fate involved in the cycle of events unfolding in the world of Ree’fah. Numerous dreadful monsters infested the forest around the city of Brann and high walls could no longer protect residents from the attacks. The menacing army of the neighbouring kingdom suddenly landed on the outskirts of the city, wreaking havoc. There is no hope for salvation — the strength of the defenders is running low, but the king and his loyal Champions had vanished.
After our successful Kickstarter, the team has worked tirelessly to ensure we present Grimshade as an RPG of great distinction. We believe we have created a game with both beautiful aesthetics, and role playing mechanics that will excite the masses. From the in-game cast, the sound, the weapons, to the quests, we have ensured no area of the game has been overlooked.
