The sword-based VR combat experience Swords of Gargantua from gumi Inc. and Yomuneco is coming to Steam as Closed Beta. Lasting one week, from Friday, February 15 until Friday, February 22 Japan Standard Time, players will be able to test their combat skills against a variety of foes.
Swords of Gargantua combines real-life and VR to create a finely tuned sword-based combat experience. Every movement is mirrored directly in the virtual world bringing the player closer than ever to the action. Players along with up to three other adventurers can team up to take down enemies. A variety of weapons and native voice chat aid in developing strategies before heading into combat.
Players fight enemies in a world dominated by a race of giants. Every defeated wave of enemies brings players closer to the epic adversary, Gargantua.
Space is very limited for the Closed Beta. Interested players have a chance to win a beta key by joining the Swords of Gargantua Discord at https://discord.gg/d4UZR6B and leave a comment in the #beta-apply channel. Winners will get a private message on Friday, February 15 with a Steam key to the Closed Beta.
Note that interested players will need a virtual reality headset to participate.
Players who share their feedback via Discord and finish a survey at the end of the test period will earn a place for their name in the staff role credits in-game.
