Continuing with their daily new skin teasers leading up to the Year of the Pig Lunar New Year seasonal event Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch twitter account dropped a preview for Zhang Fei Torbjörn.
The Zhang Fei Torbjörn skin features Torbjörn’s beard in an even larger impressive form, a dragon design for his left mechanical arm, and a turret with cannons that match the theme.
Previously previewed skins include Guan Yu Reinhardt, Lü Bu Reaper, and Huang Zhong Hanzo.
This year’s Lunar New Year event seems to be pulling heavy influence from The Romance of The Three Kingdoms, a 14th century Chinese novel. The novel takes place during the end of the Han dynasty (206 BC–220 AD) and Three Kingdoms (220-280 AD) period of Chinese history.
The Year of the Pig Overwatch Lunar New Year seasonal event is scheduled to run from Thursday, January 24, 2019 through Monday, February 18, 2019. With the event starting on Thursday it is recommended that players hold off on earning their weekly boxes until after the event starts.
