Pinhead Games, run by former Telltale designer and writer Mark Darin, announced a new comedy adventure game title Nick Bounty and the Dame with Blue Chewed Shoe on Kickstarter.
Nick Bounty and the Dame with Blue Chewed Shoe is a comedic graphic adventure game. The Film Noir style game will be for both PC and Mac users with a scheduled release in late 2019.
Players will control Nick Bounty, a “smart-ass detective as he questions suspicious suspects, scours shadowy environments for clues, and puts the pieces together to find out who dumped the body of a naked woman in a playground sandbox”. Three sidekicks are available to further customize gameplay, but only one can be hired. Each sidekick adding different elements to the gameplay experience as you gather evidence and solve puzzles to track down the killer in this murder mystery.
Pinhead Games is an independent developer of creative interactive media for nearly 30 years. The company is dedicated to bringing quality adventure games with good narrative-driven adventures to audiences who enjoy and support this style of gameplay. Their past games include “Brain Hotel”, “Forever Space”, “Nick Bounty: A Case of the Crabs”, and “The Adventures of Nick and Willikins”. Pinhead Games, in the past, has worked with several creative volunteers. The core members of the Pinhead Games team consist of Mark Darin, Ron “AAlgar” Watt, and Jason Ellis.
Mark Darin has been a professional game designer for the last 20 years. He has been a lead designer and writer for several titles including “The Walking Dead”, “Puzzle Agent”, “Tales from the Borderlands”, “Tales of Monkey Island”, and “Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People”. Darin was one of the many employees recently laid off in the majority studio closure at Telltale Games.
As of the time of this article, Nick Bounty and the Dame with Blue Chewed Shoe has exceeded its funding goal with 280 backers. There are still 15 days to go on the campaign that ends on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.
