Games Incubator and PlayWay have announced that the Animal Shelter 2: Prologue will be released this Friday. This free-to-play prologue offers an introductory look at the full simulated game world of animal care and shelter management.
Take a sneak peak at the world of Animal Shelter 2. Building on the success of Animal Shelter, the prologue introduces new features and challenges. Players can experience the joys and responsibilities of running and managing an animal shelter. Engage in various activities such as rescuing animals, providing care, and finding loving homes for cats and dogs.
Players will be able to team up with friends and manage the shelter together with a new co-op mode in the prologue. This addition allows for a shared experience in caring for animals and addressing the challenges of shelter management.
Other features in the prologue include all new high-quality graphics, other characters, NPC workers, NPC volunteers, 2D map of the outside world, three distinct locations, and improved adoption system. Animals can wear clothes and decorations beyond just photoshoots. In addition, animals can be sent outside of the shelter.
Animal Shelter 2 was first announced this past January as a sequel to Animal Shelter. The announcement included an announcement trailer and teased several new features such as picking up stray animals, day and night cycle, 2D in-game map, co-op mode, and improved animal models and animations.
Animal Shelter 2 Availability
The Animal Shelter 2: Prologue is scheduled to release on Steam on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 5 PM CEST, 11 AM EDT, 8 AM PDT. Available as a free-to-play introduction to the full game, the prologue will be available in 13 languages: English, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese – Brazil, Russian, Spanish – Spain, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Turkish.
Animal Shelter 2 is planned for a 2024 release on Windows PC via Steam. Players can add the game to their Steam wishlist. An Animal Shelter 2 Playtest is planned for a future date and players can request access by signing up on the game’s Steam page.
The original game, Animal Shelter is available on Windows PC through Steam for $19.99, on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S via Microsoft for $14.99, on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 via the PlayStation Store for $15.49 and on Nintendo Switch from the Nintendo eShop for $14.99. A free to play Animal Shelter: Prologue and a game demo are also available on Steam.
