Publisher Fireshine Games and developer ColePowered Games have announced that their immersive detective stealth sim, Shadows of Doubt, will fully release this September on PC and consoles for PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series X|S.
The Shadows of Doubt Early Access exit will come roughly seventeen months after the game’s initial release on Steam. Since the release, the game was nominated for ‘Most Innovative Gameplay’ at the 2023 Steam Awards.
Numerous updates have been released for the Early Access title, adding various features such as modding support and controller support. Much more recently Shadows of Doubt saw the major Sharpshooter Assassin update which added a brand new killer type, two new buildings to explore, and 11 new player perks making detectives more effective at their jobs.
Known game features put players in the shoes of a private investigator who is tracking down a serial killer in a simulated sci-fi noir city. Unique individual citizens with their own lives populate the city. Earn cash by taking on cases. Upgrade resources to better gather evidence and track down suspects. Every case can be approached via multiple ways.
More details on the game’s PC 1.0 update along with all new major content and features will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Shadows of Doubt Availability
The full v1.0 Shadows of Doubt launch release date is scheduled for September 26, 2024, with digital releases on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Shortly after the game’s full release, a physical edition of Shadows of Doubt will also be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Physical edition pre-orders are available at retailers now for $29.99.
Shadows of Doubt is currently available on PC in Early Access via Steam and Humble Bundle for $19.99. Note that the developer describes the game as mature content as is contains depictions of graphic violence displayed in low-fidelity fashion along with references and depictions of fictional drug use and alcohol.
