Kasedo Games has announced Rise of Industry 2, the sequel to their hit indie business tycoon game, will be coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Development is being taken over by SomaSim to bring in fresh new ideas for the sequel.
We’re thrilled to be working on a game with an existing player-base and a devoted community such as Rise of Industry 2. Being big fans of this genre, we immediately saw ways that we could build on the success of the original and take it to a new level. We know players will have certain expectations of a sequel, and we’re excited to be able to meet those, while still bringing in a range of innovative new features for new and existing players alike.

Development studio SomaSim is bringing new ideas to Rise of Industry 2. Besides a stylistic new art style for the franchise, players for the first time can climb the business ladder. There are 15 unique scenarios in the all-new campaign mode to challenge players on their climb to the top.
Continuing our relationship with Kasedo Games also made this an easy decision for us to make. This will be our third game working together following Project Highrise and City Gangsters and the relationship we’ve built over the last decade has been a great foundation for us to really hit the ground running.

Players can still become an industrial business leader on their own terms in the returning sandbox mode. Social connections play an important role in the series as players will need to network with CEOs from other companies to trade materials and finished products. Rubbing elbows with the corporate elite is also a way to meet other power players in the industry.
Rise of Industry 2 Availability
Rise of Industry 2 has a yet to be announced release date. The game will be coming to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for consoles. Interested players can wishlist the game now on their desired platform. Steam users can request access to join the Rise of Industry 2 Playtest where they will get a notification when the developer is ready for more participants.
The first title in the franchise, Rise of Industry, was developed by Dapper Penguin Studios and released on May 2, 2019 on Steam. Later the title appeared on the Epic Games Store.
