Tate Multimedia has announced that the Kao the Kangaroo: The Trilogy bundle is set to release in late April on Steam and Epic Games Store. The announcement also brings details about next big DLC for Kao the Kangaroo, titled Bend the Roo’les.
The Kao the Kangaroo: The Trilogy includes the original titles Kao the Kangaroo (2000), Kao the Kangaroo: Round 2 (2003) and Kao the Kangaroo: Mystery of Volcano (2005). The release comes right before the one-year anniversary of the May 2022 release of the new 3D platformer franchise release Kao the Kangaroo.
A week after the release of the trilogy bundle, players can get their hands on the biggest DLC yet for Kao the Kangaroo titled Bend the Roo’les. This all new DLC includes a whole new campaign along with a new enemy boss: Crab King. There are a total of five new levels with different challenges such as time challenge, rising lava, dimming light, and a 2D level. The DLC will be available on every platform.
On the same date of the DLC launch, the Kao the Kangaroo: Anniversary Edition will launch on all platforms. This special edition contains the base game, the previously released Oh! Well DLC, and the latest Bend the Roo’les DLC. Plus there will be a few bonuses to the PC edition such as an Art Book and the game’s soundtrack.
Lastly, on the same day of the DLC release and Anniversary Edition, there will be a third surprise announcement. Only time will tell what this announcement could be.
Kao the Kangaroo Release Details
Kao the Kangaroo: The Trilogy is set to release on Steam and Epic Games Store on April 27, 2023. On May 4, 2023, the new Bend the Roo’les DLC and Kao the Kangaroo: Anniversary Edition launches. This new DLC is priced at $7.99 / €7.99. Previously the Kao the Kangaroo: The Trilogy was released as a GOG exclusive and is currently available for $5.99.
Currently Kao the Kangaroo is available digitally on Windows PC from Steam and Epic Games Store for $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99. The game is also available digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Previously physical editions of the game, now sold out, were available from Limited Run Games for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5.
