Blade Assault Console Launch with Physical Launch Edition

PM Studios and developer Team Suneat have released the action-packed 2D side-scrolling cyberpunk roguelite Blade Assault on consoles. In addition to the digital version, physical editions are available that comes complete with a postcard and a sticker sheet.

Available digitally on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, the Blade Assault console version features all of the content previously release for the PC version. While supplies last, the physical Launch Edition comes with a postcard and sticker sheet. Physical versions of Blade Assault are available at major retailers.

The story of Blade Assault follows the devastation throughout the world in the aftermath of the Red Stone War. All that is left are three divided regions: the mutant-infested outside grounds, the Undercity where people seek refuge from the mutants, and the sky city of Esperanza filled with rich elites and corrupt military. As a member of the Undercity’s resistance force, players fight alongside comrades against the corrupt military in an effort bring the corrupt to justice.

There are four playable characters, each with their own unique playstyle and signature weapons. With these enhanced weapons, the characters are capable of shredding through the nastiest of monsters. For example Darcy wields a deadly katana-like weapon while Zett makes use of his cybernetic arm. As players battle their way through seven challenging bosses, over 200 items from Cores to Gears can be found in the pixel art sci-fi world.

Using the Friendship System, one can develop relationships with various NPCs and even earn rewards. Completing the game will unlock the Assault Level where players can test their might and skill against endless waves of hardmode enemies.

Initially starting out as a Kickstarter project with a playable demo in December 2020, Blade Assault went on to release in Early Access on PC through publisher NEOWIZ in June the following year. In January 2022, the the PC version exited Early Access with a full release. A year later in January 2023 console pre-order were announced. The PC version of Blade Assault is also available via Humble Bundle and Steam for $17.99. Visit the game’s product pages for additional information.
