Heat and Run 4v4 Shooter to Enter Early Access Mid-October

Game development studio and soon to be publisher Damnatio Games are ready to release their 2D 4v4 multiplayer shooter, Heat and Run, into Early Access. In mid-October, one week away, players can join in on the frantic fight to destroy their opponents Flame.

At Early Access release there will be eight heroes and heroines available for players. In addition, three available relics will boost one’s hero. An individual leaderboard allows players to see their own gameplay progress.

Overgrown and Akona are the the two initial maps. Both classic and custom modes are available. Bots will fill in empty game slots. For the team 4v4 gameplay, audio communication via voices of the heroes is available. Instant messaging is available within the friends and teams system.

Early Access is expected to last for several months. The total development time is dependent upon player feedback and the number of issues that arise during the process such as critical bugs. More heroes, relics, and maps are planned in upcoming updates along with new spectator and ranked modes.

In the future, players can win XP and Gold to advance in the game. A tutorial with three instructional phases and classy cosmetics are also planned.

The Heat and Run demo is still currently available to play on the game’s Steam page. Previously the game’s demo was made available during Steam Next Fest in June 2022.

Heat and Run is set for an Early Access release on October 13, 2022, on Windows PC via Steam. The Heat and Run demo is available during Steam Next Fest on Steam.
