Team17 and developer Small Impact Games have announced that their PvPvE hardcore looter shooter, Marauders, will release into Early Access next week. Players who have pre-ordered the game can begin playing now.
Set in an alternative 1990s where The Great War never ended, Earth finds itself overindustrialized. The planet is at its breaking point and many have fled to the stars. In game players band together in crews of up to three other players. Crews will take to the hostile battlegrounds to hunt for loot, craft new weapons and gear, and salvage all the is necessary for survival.
The immersive sci-fi setting is a mix of gritty dieselpunk and war-torn apocalyptic collapse. Survival is based on one’s ability to loot and shoot in space. From daring raids on valuable loot caches to plundering deep-space battlegrounds, getting out alive is challenging, but necessary to turn a healthy profit.
First-person combat is tense. Those with keen survival instincts will do best in these hostile environments. Combat encounters feature realistic bullet simulations against enemy teams and AI opponents.
Gear is persistent. Keep the best gear from match to match. Players can adjust their favorite weapons with mods and use XP to unlock new items. Spaceships are upgradeable. Upgrade armaments or build a brand-new ship with scavenged resources. Of course players can always take someone else’s ship through force.
Marauders will release into Early Access on October 3, 2022, on PC via Steam. Players can still pre-order the game to gain access now for $27.00. Follow @PlayMarauders on Twitter, like @PlayMarauders on Facebook, or visit marauders.game for more information.
