Independent game developer D20Studios have released a roadmap for their Early Access title Summoners Fate. Nearly a full year of content is laid out including holiday themed events and multiplayer.
Since the Summoners Fate Early Access launch this past June, over 6,000 players have entered the roguelike deck building multiverse. In the process over one million squirrels have been hurled. Additionally the game commands a respectable 85% positive reviews on Steam. To continue the launch celebration, D20Studios have shared plans for the game’s future in a new roadmap.
While the multiplayer update is not expected until Q2 2023, there are plenty of other updates planned. Through August, players can expect to see more bug fixes, quality of life improvements, and new cards.
The Fall Content Update is the first big update on the horizon. One of the core features of this update is the addition of PvE leaderboards allowing players to compete in high-score style runs. In the update players can expect to see a Halloween themed event and a new Harvest World biome. Four new summoners, new encounters, new bosses, and new cards are also planned.
A Winter Content Update is set to feature a Christmas Event, an Ice World biome, four more new summoners, new encounters, new bosses, and new cards. This update will deliver AI Engine 3.0 featuring an overhaul that focuses on the AI’s decision-making while in combat.
Beyond is the Spring Content Update featuring multiplayer, an Easter Event, and Cave World biome. Final polishing and fixes for the 1.0 launch are expected in June 2023.
At the time of this articles publication, The Summoners Fate Steam Next Fest demo is still available to play for free. Any progress made in the demo towards unlocking summoners, cards, and achievements will carry over into the full game if purchased.
