HeroCraft PC and indie developer Bad Optics Games are inviting all cat-lovers to play the brand new demo of Catizens. During Steam Next Fest, June 13 to June 20, players can purr around in this cutesy cat colony management sim.
Guide a group of adventurous cats towards a long-lasting settlement. Each cat is unique with their own quirky personalities. Build and grow their cute kitty settlement while exploring the surrounding lands, facing off against wildlife threats, and overcoming environmental challenges. When examining the surroundings players will want to take note of great fishing spots, hidden treasures, and any quirky characters offering quests.
To ensure success players will want to build their town around the strengths of the personality traits of the inhabitants. Similar to real life, cats require personal attention and special treatment. Different combinations of personality traits and moods will affect their proficiency and obedience. Catizens may form relationships with each other. On occasion some residents may issue personal requests and it is up to the player to learn what makes each cat happy.
A variety of professions are available for the settlements inhabitants to learn. Farming, fishing, blacksmithing, and wildlife protection are just a few. Different building types will unlock based on the traits and professions available. Players do not have to micromanage the town once it has become large. Only a few of the more outstanding catizens should be the player’s focus as they mold them into town leaders.
Catizens is planned for a 2022 release on PC through Steam. The Catizens demo is available now on Steam for the duration of the Steam Next Event. Interested players can wishlist the game now. For more information visit the game’s website at catizens.net.
