Redout: Enhanced Edition is Free on the Epic Games Store

The Redout: Enhanced Edition from 34BigThings is available for free from the Epic Games Store. Released in 2016, this game brought to players the next generation of ant-gravity racing.

Billed as the fastest game ever made, Redout acts as a tribute to classic racing titles F-Zero, WipeOut, Rollcage, and POD. Unlike other games that worry about numbers, this game is focused on the feel of going really fast on the race track.

The total immersive experience is in play from the vibrations to the surrounding landscape and buildings zooming by as one blows past everything. Collisions are high-speed, and the sounds and effects aid in the immersion of going really fast.

Online multiplayer allows up to 12 players to race each other. Racing at 800km/h players will need to master the in-game physics of their vehicle so they know how to properly handle turns on the track and survive the more advanced tracks. Various powerups, 11 event race types, five locations, 25 tracks, a career mode, and six racing teams await.

Redout: Enhanced Edition is available for free for Windows via the Epic Games Store until 8:00 AM PDT on May 19, 2022. Afterwards the game will be available to purchase for $9.99. Seven add-ons are available including the Back to Earth Pack, Space Exploration Pack, and Mars Pack for $3.99 to $4.99 per add-on. The game is also available for purchase on Steam.
