Bloodhunt Battle Royale Launches on PC and PS5

Sharkmob has launched their bloodthirsty free-to-play battle royale, Bloodhunt, on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and GeForce NOW. Based in the Vampire – The Masquerade universe, players will battle on the streets on Prague in the game’s first season.

Set in the Old Town of Prague, players use their supernatural powers while battling other players and computer controlled Inquisition soldiers. With no pay-to-win mechanics or schemes, players will have to rely upon their skills and maybe even some luck while out on the hunt. While keeping up the masquerade is important, being the last vampire standing is all that matters.

Characters are customizable. Choose a Clan allegiance to define one’s playstyle and then create a look that both friends and foes will remember. When roaming the streets of Prague feeding on potent blood will grow one’s power. Gravity can be defied as one scurries up buildings to find gear and dominate the night. From stealth attacks to all out gun battles the streets and rooftops of Prague will be covered blood.

Heading into the launch the developer has made several game changes since Early Access. Anti-cheat software from Easy Anti-Cheat now protects the game. Players can now report players in-game for those who violate the games code of conduct via means of cheating, exploiting, abuse, scamming, and spamming. Ranked mode and Bloodhunt mode are available.

A new 9-Barrel weapon that is versatile and deadly in the right hands is now available. This weapon uses precision ammo. Resonance is now capped at 12, up from 7, allowing the most bloodthirsty of players to fill out all their resonance slots. Ability cooldowns are now reset when a player successfully uses diablerie. With this change players now have a better chance to fight back or escape when ambushed after defeating an enemy.

Brand new Mastery challenges can unlock player cards, however, completing these challenges is no simple task. Several balancing changes for powers and weapons are included in the launch. A more complete list of launch changes is available here.

The launch is bringing Bloodhunt to the PlayStation 5. For PS5 players the immersive world of Prague features high quality graphics with great visual detail, DualSense Controller support, and Tempest 3D Audio. Quality Mode allows for the best rendering quality in 4K at 30fps while Performance Mode allows the game to run at 60fps in 1440P. Controller lights on the PS5 can help guide players in the city’s night. The lights are based on team color or when players are tacked down by opponents and being blood hunted.

A Founder’s Ultimate Edition for PlayStation 5 is available that includes a one-of-a-kind PS5 exclusive Samurai mask, two PS5 exclusive killer outfits: Headrush and Fast Forward, plus over 100 cosmetic items including: outfits, hairstyles, tattoos, and piercings. Plus players will receive 1,000 Tokens to spend at the in-game store to purchase the Battle Pass or new vanity items. The cost of the PlayStation 5 Founder’s Ultimate Edition is $59.99.

This Friday the Bloodhunt Season 1 Battle Pass launches. Over 100 Tiers with cosmetic rewards, XP boosts, and Tokens are available in the pass.
