Green Man Gaming Publishing and developer Moonlit S.A. released their virtual hobby simulator Model Builder on PC. Both enthusiasts and novices can take part and experience the joy of scale model building in a virtual setting.
Featuring a full roster of vehicles, historical memorabilia, figures, and pop culture icons, players will have plenty of items to cut out, assemble, and paint. Some of the models include the classic British Spitfire, the French light infantry R35 Tank, Type VIIC German submarine, fearsome Oriental Dragon, and a C64 Warcrawler Steampunk Bot. More recent models include the anime-inspired Gunbot Hyperion Mech, an Akira style Baiku vehicle, and a Star Wars inspired Lightsword.
All the right tools for the job are available. Players have access to a wide variety of tools that are necessary to assemble their models. More tools to help with precision work and finishes can be unlocked allowing one to become a model building pro.
Players can choose to stick to the plan for a model or cut loose with the creativity. There are plenty of paints to choose from, a choice of airbrush tools, fine detailing brushes, and a variety of decals available. Once the model is complete, players can create exciting scenes by arranging their models or showcase them in the photo booth sharing them with others.
A story mode offers players a fun and exciting journey into the past as they walk in the footsteps of their grandfather Stan. His achievements are explored as secrets of the past are unlocked by taking on model building commissions and entering competitions. This journey and the work along with it will lead one to become a world-class model builder.
Model Builder is available on Windows PC through Humble Bundle, Green Man Gaming, and Steam for $19.99 USD. A 10% launch discount is available until February 15. More information about Model Builder is available by following @modelbuildersim on Twitter or by visiting modelbuilder.game.
