Beacon Pines Demo at The Big Adventure Event on Steam

Fellow Traveller and indie developer Hiding Spot Games announced that a demo of their cute and creepy adventure game, Beacon Pines, is being included as part of The Big Adventure Event on Steam. Interested players will be able to check out a town that is a storybook mix of Winnie-the-Pooh, Twin Peaks, and Stranger Things.

Set in a magical storybook, players play as both the book’s reader and Luka, the book’s main character. Luka is a young boy who is investigating the mysterious events in his hometown. During his journey he will find charms inscribed with new words that allow past events to be rewritten leading to an entire new sequence of events for Luka to explore along with his friends.

Exploration, deep character-driven dialogue, and light puzzle solving is at the heart of this game. With no combat, players are free to explore the hand-illustrated town with all of its charming characters and unsettling secrets. By discovering new words, players can use them to write and rewrite the game’s story by changing past events and uncovering new branches to explore of the story.

Presented by Hitcents, The Big Adventure Event is a digital celebration and showcase of indie adventure games. Last year’s event welcomed over 300,000 fans to a display of more than 80 games. This year’s event kicks off on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 8AM PST. Indie developer broadcasts from around the globe, community, events, interviews, and over a hundred game demos will be featured during the event.

Beacon Pines is coming to Nintendo Switch and Steam for PC in 2022. The Beacon Pines demo can be found on the game’s Steam page where interested players can also wishlist and follow the game now.
