Killing Floor 2 Day of the Zed Halloween Update

Halloween is fast approaching and Tripwire Interactive released the Day of the Zed Halloween Update for their first-person shooter Killing Floor 2. The developer and publisher is celebrating the spooky holiday early as the update is now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One family of devices.

In the free Day of the Zed update, Killing Floor 2 players can experience a new featured community map, two new weekly game modes, and four new weapons. Netherhold is the new featured community map. It is a dark and gloomy custom map fitting for the Halloween holiday season. With many hidden areas and secret rooms there are plenty of scary places for the occasional zed encounter. This map has five Netherhold objectives that unlock a unique seasonal reward and supports survival, weekly, and endless modes.

Wild West London and Abandon All Hope are the two new weekly game modes. Revolvers and lever actions are the only weapons allowed in the Wild West London. This Gunslinger only mode gives everything a proper old-time look with a special sepia filter designed for this very mode. Abandon All Hope is the ultimate Killing Floor 2 challenge with Maximum Difficulty Mode. Even more difficult than Hell on Earth, this mode pushes spawn rates to the max and Spawn Pools of Heavies are greatly increased. Health and damage of enemies have greatly increased too. Those who can survive this mode are rewarded with a special Kriss Elite Skin.

Four new weapons make their appearance in Killing Floor 2. The Piranha Pistol and KRG Disrupter are available for the Gunslinger class. Demolitionists now have access to the HRG Tommy Boom while the Corrupter Carbine is available for Field Medics and Sharpshooters.

To further celebrate the release of Day of the Zed update and the Halloween holiday, Killing Floor 2 will be on sale across all platforms in various promotions later in October. The best way to stay informed about these sales is to follow the developer’s social media accounts.

Killing Floor 2 along with the Day of the Zed update is available on Windows PC through Humble BundleEpic Games Store, and Steam for $29.99 USD. The game is also available on console for PS4 and Xbox One. For more information about Killing Floor 2 follow @KillingFloor or visit the game’s website at killingfloor2.com.
