Glyph 3D Platformer PC Release Date Announced

Bolverk Games, coming on the heels of Steam Next Festival, the indie studio is announcing a PC release date for their 3D platformer Glyph. During the Steam Next Festival the game had 2.5 million impressions indicating that PC players should be excited to hear that Glyph is coming to PC in early August.

In January of this year, Glyph launched on Nintendo Switch with positive reviews and reactions. Since the game’s release on Nintendo Switch there have been a couple of patches and updates. The most noticeable of changes came when the difficulty was tweaked in response to player feedback.

It’s incredibly pleasing, the reception of Glyph from players and reviewers. We’ve put blood, sweat, and the thinly worn skin of our fingertips into this game. So to have players come into our discord and praise it to high heaven, well, they deserve to be taken seriously

Bo Bennekov, CEO of Bolverk Games

The game is designed with an easy to learn, difficult to master philosophy. Gameplay combines aerial maneuvers with peaceful exploration in a vibrant and colorful world. Players are given the end goal of restoring the ancient Temple City that has been overcome by the desert. This functions as the game’s non-linear hub world.

Players have access to more than 80 levels in Exploration mode. The volume of levels means that players will need to put in serious effort in order to see the entirety of the game. Time Trial mode puts players to the test in 30 blazing hot levels that tests one’s skills.

Over 100 secrets and upgrades are placed throughout the game from the beginning to the end. In Glyph players won’t have to pay for extra skins or cool unlocks. At the end of the game is an extremely wicked and mean final boss. The game’s design is meant to appeal to both the chill-out players and speedrunners as the open-world allows for creative ways to move through the levels.

Glyph is heading to PC with an August 9, 2021 release date through Steam. The game is currently available on the Nintendo Switch for $19.99 USD. More information about Glyph can be found be following @PlayGlyph on Twitter or by visiting the game’s website at playglyph.com.
