SimPocalypse Full Release Set for May

Indie game developer Gamex Studio has set a May full release date for their post-apocalypse civilization simulator Simpocalypse. The era of technological advancement and civilization has ended and the era of survival reigns for this 4X clicker sim.

Previously the game was made available in early access so the developer could get player feedback and work on balancing all the different systems in place. Another goal was to ensure that new players are not overwhelmed by the game’s depth.

The game takes place after a world nuclear war. Players start as leaders or managers of a settlement in this post-apocalyptic world. Their task is to direct and control the citizens while trying to gather enough food and other basic supplies to survive. Exploring the surround world while also providing safety is equally critical as one works to advance their civilization and expand it further. In the end the strong the settlement is, the more likely it will survive.

Simpocalypse is currently available as an early access release on PC for Windows and Linux through Steam for $9.99 USD. A full release is set for May 11, 2021. At the time of this article a web browser demo for the game is still available on ArmorGames. For more information about Simpocalypse visit the game’s website at simpocalypse.com.

Apple and Epic Games File Tentative Witness Lists

This past Wednesday, both Apple and Epic Games filed tentative witness lists for Epic Games’ antitrust lawsuit against Apple. Both companies laid out their lists on who they plan to call during the in-person bench trial.

The trial is scheduled for May 3, 2021 and a pretrial conference is scheduled for April 21, 2021. U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers will be presiding over the trial as Epic Games argues that Apple is running a tech monopoly by not allowing competing app stores on iOS.
